Beginning on October 7, all inbound and outbound calls made “to and from” the UCPath Center will be authenticated with an additional security process. This authentication is an added level of security due to the early Accellion data breach.
When UCPath initiates an inbound or outbound phone call, the UCPath associate will ask the individual to answer two non-compromised questions from their employee record such as: what is your location, department, pay frequency, reporting manager’s name, etc…
The caller will have three attempts to answer correctly before they will be provided with instructions on how to submit an inquiry to get their issue addressed (reason for calling UCPath) or only answer general questions such as: when is Open Enrollment, how long is the period of initial eligibility, what is the UCPath fax number, how to login into UCPath, etc…
This process will be in place until UCPath Center has implemented multi-factor authentication through their phone system.
